Embrowdery is a method whereby fine strokes are penetrated into the skin for a hair-like finish. The appearance is completely natural, soft, powdery subtle and blends with or without hair along the brow bone. New nano-technology is used in the pigments which allows the colours to stay in place regardless of how light the strokes are applied. Natural shades are easily achieved.
How does it differ from Eyebrow Tattoos?
Embrowdery technicians use a manual hand tool and a set of several fine needles to dip into a pigment then apply to the skin. The tool is lightly placed on the surface of the skin and gently moved forward and up to flow pigment into the skin. Individual hairs are easily and artistically drawn on. The colour only penetrates the very top layer of the epidermis. There is no need for a tattoo machine or loud vibrating needles. Products “pushed” into the skin by tattoo machines end up deeper in the dermal layers of the skin. This is where our nerve endings are located and the immune system begins. The theory is, the deeper you go into the dermal tissue the more aggressively the immune system will work to protect the body from the pigments. This causes odd pigment shades and fading.
Will I get the result I want immediately?
Within a week of your first treatment the colour will fade significantly and over the next four weeks it can continue to fade as much as 30-50%. This is because the pigment is being “carried” by your body from the top layer to the bottom layer of your epidermis. This is considered an extremely positive occurrence as it allows you time to reflect on your shape and colour. After a month the second phase of Embrowdery is carried out. At this point any changes you would like to make are discussed. Once again you can expect the colour to fade but to a much lesser degree. Another month later and the final “Pass” of Embrowdery is carried out. At this stage your brows become semi-permanent.
Is Embrowdery Painful?
The procedure is virtually painless and has been likened to the sensation of eyebrow plucking and not as severe as eyebrow threading. If desired, anaesthetic is applied to decrease any pain or discomfort. The side effects are simply a little redness around the area which fades in a matter of hours and can be easily camouflaged with make-up.
Can I choose a shape?
Absolutely. Brow shapes and colour are tailored to the individual as they have to suit your face and your personality. Your brows can be designed to look thick or thin, light or dark, high or low, sharp or soft.
